Here is a look at the MLB daily fantasy picture for Saturday, June 4:
Top Stack Options
Early Slate
- Houston Astros (vs. Oakland Athletics): Houston is 9-2 in their last 11 games, including a 12-2 shellacking of the A's Friday night. Things could once again get ugly against A's right-hander Kendall Graveman - a ground ball pitcher who hasn't been inducing many grounders this season. He sports a 5.09 ERA with one quality start in his last seven outings.
3-player stack: George Springer, Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa
5-player stack: Springer, Altuve, Correa, Evan Gattis and Luis Valbuena
- Chicago White Sox (at Detroit Tigers): The White Sox will have the pleasure of facing the worst SP on the slate in Tigers RHP Mike Pelfrey. Pelfrey has been a starter in the big leagues for 10 years, yet opponents have hit .291 against him. How he keeps getting jobs in big league rotations is a mystery. He is win-less this season with an ERA of 4.96.
3-player stack: Adam Eaton, Jose Abreu, Avisail Garcia
5-player stack: Austin Jackson (if he plays), Eaton, Abreu, Todd Frazier, Garcia
Late Slate
- Colorado Rockies (at San Diego Padres): The Padres are the definition of a dumpster fire right now. Days after their executive chairman trashed the team, they blew a 10 run lead late in the ballgame. Colorado is just 3-6 in their last nine games, but the offense has still averaged 5.7 runs per game over that span. Padres starter Andrew Cashner has a 4.79 ERA.
3-player stack: Charlie Blackmon, DJ LeMahieu, Carlos Gonzalez
5-player stack: Blackmon, LeMahieu, Gonzalez, Nolan Arenado, Gerardo Parra
- Los Angeles Dodgers (vs. Atlanta Braves): RHP Bud Norris will start for the Braves Saturday in place of the injured Mike Foltynewicz. He is 1-6 with a 5.71 ERA and likely won't be able to go deep into the game. The Dodgers' offense isn't potent by any stretch, but they have plenty of left-handed hitters. Lefties are hitting .328 against Norris this season.
3-player stack: Chase Utley, Corey Seager, Adrian Gonzalez
5-player stack: Utley, Seager, Gonzalez, Joc Pederson, Trayce Thompson

Top Bargain Plays
Early Slate
- 3B Martin Prado, Marlins (vs. Mets): Prado hasn't homered yet this season, but he is hitting .312. He bats near the top of the order usually, and is no stranger to fellow veteran Bartolo Colon. Colon is always around the zone and Prado is an aggressive hitter, making for a great matchup for the veteran infielder.
- SP Justin Nicolino, Marlins (vs. Mets): There's no denying Nicolino has suffered growing pains at points in time this season. However, only the Dodgers, Phillies and Braves have a worse team OPS against lefties this season among NL teams than the Mets. David Wright's absence makes them even more vulnerable against southpaws.
Late Slate
- 1B Dae-Ho Lee, Mariners (at Rangers): Lee has teamed up with Adam Lind to provide a great platoon at 1B. The 34-year-old rookie is hitting .310 with eight round-trippers in just 87 at-bats. He has seven hits in his last three games and can be in any lineup with his minuscule price tag.
- 2B/SS Jurrickson Profar, Rangers (vs. Mariners): Profar is finally showing why he was considered the best prospect in all of baseball at one point in time. Playing second base during Rougned Odor's suspension, Profar is hitting .364 with four extra-base hits in the leadoff spot. The switch-hitter has always been better from the left side in his career.

Top Contrarian Plays
Early Slate
- C/1B Victor Martinez, Tigers (vs. White Sox): V-Mart is extremely cheap with Chris Sale on the hill, and even has catcher eligibility on some sites. The switch-hitter has been slightly better from the right side in his career. He might be the only one to have Sale figured out; he has a 1.412 OPS in 34 career at-bats against the perennial Cy Young candidate.
- SP Marcus Stroman, Blue Jays (at Red Sox): Stroman has allowed 15 earned runs over his last three games, including a seven-run outing in his last start which happened to come against the Red Sox. However, Stroman is still getting ground balls at an AL-leading rate, which will lead to more quality starts. A bit of help from Toronto's 'pen wouldn't hurt either.
Late Slate
- 3B Kyle Seager, Mariners (at Rangers): Seager will surely be faded with a lefty taking the hill for the Rangers. However, the slugging 3B is hitting .475 with 13 RBIs in his last 10 games and is 10-for-22 with three homers against LHP Martin Perez.
- 1B Freddie Freeman, Braves (at Dodgers): There's no doubt Freeman will be faded against Clayton Kershaw. However, Freeman has an .824 OPS against lefties this season (probably because LHPs are actually willing to pitch to him). He's had success against Kershaw in the past and his price is so cheap it won't take much to return value.
