Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Nolan Arenado (COL) | vs. SD | 10 |
Josh Donaldson (TOR) | vs. BOS | 9 |
Alex Rodriguez (NYY) | at DET | 9 |
Chase Headley (NYY) | at DET | 8 |
Justin Turner (LAD) | at SF | 8 |
Arenado is 10-for-20 with three big flies against James Shields in his career. He'll certainly have high ownership with the game being played at Coors Field, but he's a player you can build your cash game lineup around.
Donaldson is dealing with a calf strain that has limited him to DH duty, but he seems to be hitting just fine. He clobbered a grand slam on Friday and collected two hits and two runs on Saturday. If anything, the the nagging injury will just drive his ownership levels down.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Manny Machado (BAL) | vs. TB | 7 |
David Wright (NYM) | vs. PHI | 7 |
Evan Longoria (TB) | at BAL | 7 |
Kyle Seager (SEA) | vs. OAK | 7 |
Matt Duffy (SF) | vs. LAD | 7 |
Adonis Garcia (ATL) | vs. STL | 7 |
Yunel Escobar (LAA) | vs. TEX | 6 |
Mike Moustakas (KC) | vs. MIN | 6 |
Matt Carpenter (STL) | at ATL | 6 |
Miguel Sano (MIN) | at KC | 6 |
Luis Valbuena (HOU) | at MIL | 5 |
Yangervis Solarte (SD) | at COL | 5 |
Maikel Franco (PHI) | at NYM | 5 |
Hector Olivera (ATL) | vs. STL | 5 |
Escobar has fared better against LHP in his career, so expect him to snap his 0-for-2 against Martin Perez. His leadoff spot in the Angels' lineup gives the former shortstop a high floor, making him a nice bargain in cash games as well as tournaments.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Todd Frazier (CWS) | vs. CLE | 4 |
Kris Bryant (CHC) | at ARI | 4 |
Adrian Beltre (TEX) | at LAA | 3 |
Brock Holt (BOS) | at TOR | 3 |
Jake Lamb (ARI) | vs. CHC | 3 |
Yasmany Tomas (ARI) | vs. CHC | 2 |
Danny Valencia (OAK) | at SEA | 2 |
Frazier has two long balls, but he's just 4-four-24 to begin his career on the south side as he adjusts to American League pitching and a new team. Don't take the risk with Josh Tomlin taking the hill, as he's held Frazier to just one hit in six at-bats.
Beltre has been a free-swinger throughout his entire career, and it hasn't mounted to success against Jered Weaver -- a veteran right-hander with a great off-speed repertoire. In 84 at bats against Weaver, Beltre has a .226/.256/.333 slash line with a lone dinger.
