NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Bryce Harper (WAS) | vs. MIA | 9 |
Dexter Fowler (CHC) | at ARI | 8 |
Shin-Soo Choo (TEX) | at LAA | 8 |
Harper has two homers in his first three games and could be in line to make it three-of-four. Harper has absolutely torched Marlins starter Tom Koehler in his career, hitting five long balls in 24 at-bats. Pay up and make baseball fun again.
Fowler has opened the season on absolute tear. He has four straight multi-hit games along with four RBI and one long ball. He looks to be a great cash game play at his manageable salary.
Choo owns a .405 average against Jered Weaver in 42 at-bats. However, Choo was scratched from Saturday night's game so DFS players should monitor his availability.

Melvin Upton Jr. (SD) | at COL | 6 |
Jose Bautista (TOR) | vs. BOS | 6 |
Kevin Pillar (TOR) | vs. BOS | 6 |
Gonzalez and Blackmon have to be considered in their friendly home environment even with their large salaries. Furthermore, Padres pitcher James Shields surrendered 33 homers last year to the tune of a 19.4 percent HR/FB ratio. A Rockies stack could be dangerous if things go right.
After starting the season 0-for-8, former Brewer Carlos Gomez has notched back-to-back two-hit games. His old home in Miller Park is extremely hitter friendly.
Davis and Werth both own favorable splits against their respective opposing pitchers and come with cheap salaries.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jay Bruce (CIN) | vs. PIT | 5 |
George Springer (HOU) | at MIL | 5 |
Mookie Betts (BOS) | at TOR | 5 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | vs. TEX | 5 |
Billy Hamilton (CIN) | vs. PIT | 5 |
Hunter Pence (SF) | vs. LAD | 5 |
Lorenzo Cain (KC) | vs. MIN | 5 |
Justin Upton (DET) | vs. NYY | 5 |
Jason Heyward (CHC) | at ARI | 5 |
Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) | at DET | 5 |
Trout has one of the loftiest salaries Sunday. He has started this season in a bit of funk going 3-for-15. DFS players should take a wait-and-see approach on Trout until he bumps his slump. Wasting a salary of that nature can completely derail a roster.
Cincinnati speedster Billy Hamilton returned to the leadoff spot Saturday. Assuming he stays there Sunday, he could put his career slash line of .429/.467/.500 against Jeff Locke to use. He is a strong tournament play and would most likely steal a base if he gets on.
Heyward may be a part of the potent Cubs lineup, but his early season splits are concerning. He has hit .250 or under for his career in for March, April, and May. Aside from a three-hit game, he has gone 1-for-12 to open the season.

Carlos Beltran (NYY) | at DET | 2 |
Josh Reddick (OAK) | at SEA | 2 |
Melky Cabrera (CWS) | vs. CLE | 2 |
Granderson has had a rough go of it against Philadelphia hurler Jeremy Hellickson. The veteran has struck out seven times in 17 at-bats and sports a .176 average.
Span, Beltran, and Cabrera all own sub .200 averages against their respective opposing pitchers.
