Here are theScore's first baseban/DH value rankings for Sunday, April 10:

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Alex Rodriguez (NYY) at DET 9
Jose Abreu (CWS) vs. CLE 9
David Ortiz (BOS) at TOR 9
Joey Votto (CIN) vs. PIT 8
Eric Hosmer (KC) vs. MIN 8

A-Rod has hit five round-trippers to go with a .432 OBP in 32 career at-bats against Justin Verlander. Both players are well past their prime, but Rodriguez clearly has the advantage. The veteran Yankee also smacked out a home run in Saturday's game.

Big Papi has a modest three hits in nine at bats against Marco Estrada in his career, but two of those hits left the yard. Estrada's bread and butter is his change up, but he may struggle with such a touch-and-feel pitch in his first start of the season after missing most of spring training with back issues.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Chris Davis (BAL) vs. TB 7
Ryan Zimmerman (WAS) vs. MIA 7
Mitch Moreland (TEX) at LAA 7
Tyler White (HOU) at MIL 7
Miguel Cabrera (DET) vs. NYY 7
Victor Martinez (DET) vs. NYY 7
Mike Napoli (CLE) at CWS 6
Joe Mauer (MIN) at KC 6
Adrian Gonzalez (LAD) at SF 6
Brandon Belt (SF) vs. LAD 6
Yonder Alonso (OAK) at SEA 6
Edwin Encarnacion (TOR) vs. BOS 6
Adam Lind (SEA) vs. OAK 6
Travis Shaw (BOS) at TOR 6
Freddie Freeman (ATL) vs. STL 5
Lucas Duda (NYM) vs. PHI 5
Prince Fielder (TEX) at LAA 5
Kendrys Morales (KC) vs. MIN 5
Mark Trumbo (BAL) vs. TB 5
Pedro Alvarez (BAL) vs. TB

White is an early candidate for rookie of the year. The Astros' one bagger is hitting .692 with two home runs and two doubles so far in his young career (excluding Saturday's game). His price has jumped up, but so has his spot in the batting order. Take him in all formats.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Paul Goldschmidt (ARI) vs. CHC 4
Albert Pujols (LAA) vs. TEX 4
Byung Ho Park (MIN) at KC 3
Anthony Rizzo (CHC) at ARI 3
Logan Morrison (TB) at BAL 3
Ryan Howard (PHI) at NYM 2
Carlos Santana (CLE) at CWS 2
Mark Teixeira (NYY) at DET 1

Goldsmidt and Rizzo are caught up in a potential pitchers duel between reigning Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta and Shelby Miller. Fade both sluggers and their lofty salaries as neither has proven they can hit their opposing pitcher.

Santana, a switch hitter, has been a much better hitter from the right side in his career, yet LHP Jose Quintana has given him fits. The former catcher is just 4-for-23 against the southpaw.
