Well, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports has confirmed Pau Gasol's report that Pau Gasol is headed to the Chicago Bulls, so we suppose Gasol's sources were solid.

Unfortunately, Gasol didn't break the terms of the contract, so chalk another one up for Wojnarowski, who reports that Gasol's deal is for three years and upwards of $22 million.

Given the salary cap realities of a deal starting around $7 million for Gasol (that's more than the mid-level exception), this almost surely means that the long-expected Carlos Boozer amnesty is on the way. This also marks a huge pay cut for Gasol, who made $19.3 million last season, and is less than the eight-figure deal he was reportedly offered by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Bulls are set to have a terrific frontcourt, with Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic and Gasol splitting time. There are a lot of complementary pairings within that group that should mean the Bulls are always dangerous on both ends, though we'd hazard a guess that the Noah-Gibson pairing will still close games.

You can read more about Gasol's long-discussed free agency, including the Spaniard announcing where he was going himself, in the storyline below.
