The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly on the verge of acquiring Jarrett Jack from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team deal.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Boston will acquire Tyler Zeller from Cleveland as well as a future first-round draft pick and Marcus Thornton from the Nets.

Brooklyn will acquire Jack and Sergey Karasev from the Cavs.

At the end of June, the Nets were linked to acquiring Jack, and the deal makes sense now that Shaun Livingston reached an agreement with the Golden State Warriors. On the other hand, Cleveland parts with three salaries - including two years guaranteed to Jack.

And the deal certainly paves the way for a return of the King to Ohio.

As Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe tweets, the Celtics enabling such a deal to land Thornton will only add to their own salary clearance for next summer. Smells like (Kevin) Love.

The Atlanta Hawks were also linked to a Thornton/Jack three-team deal earlier this week.
