After a quiet first week of free agency for the Boston Celtics, president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is reportedly attempting to gather the assets required to acquire Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Love.

According to the Boston Globe, Ainge is convinced he can put together a package that would entice Wolves president Flip Saunders to move Love. Several league sources indicated agents believe Ainge has the "creativity" to do so.

From the Globe:

The Celtics are essentially out of salary cap space, but they do have a $10.2 million trade exception from the Paul Pierce deal they have to use by Saturday. They also have potentially talented rookie James Young to offer in a deal. While Young was ruled out of summer league with a neck injury, there was speculation the Celtics are keeping him on ice in case of a potential deal.

The Boston president admitted his team has been quiet so far, and when asked if he was pleased with the current state of the Celtics, he said, "There's a lot more to do. It's a long summer."
