Magic wants Kobe involved with Lakers' front office

While Magic Johnson has already reportedly brought Kobe Bryant's agent aboard with the Los Angeles Lakers, he's also interested in having the Black Mamba himself.

"Whatever he wants to do," Johnson said of Bryant on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Baxter Holmes. "There's no certain role."

Johnson said last week that Bryant would be the "first call I make if I'm in charge." Now that Johnson is in charge, it helps that the Lakers' all-time leading scorer has already offered his assistance.

"I'm always a phone call away," Bryant said in January.

An advisory role seems to be the most logical position at present, following news that Bryant's agent, Rob Pelinka, is set to become the team's next general manager. Mitch Kupchak was fired Tuesday after 17 years on the job.
