Watch: Playoff-bound teams celebrate clinchers
There was a lot left to determine on the final day of the 2016 campaign, and it ended with three celebrations.
A trio of clubs - the Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco Giants - clinched wild-card spots after winning Sunday, while the Detroit Tigers, who needed help to get into a potential Monday tiebreaker, were eliminated from postseason contention after losing two of three this weekend to the Braves.
The St. Louis Cardinals were also in the mix for a wild-card spot and did their job by beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-4, but saw their playoff aspirations fall short with the Giants' win.
