Tigers fan catches 5 foul balls in 1 game
It was quite the day for 39-year-old Detroit Tigers season-ticket holder Bill Dugan at Comerica Park on Monday.
While Tigers ace Justin Verlander was getting knocked around by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the tune of 10 hits and seven runs, Dugan was in perfect position to catch not one, but five foul balls by the eighth inning of the contest, according to Robert Allen of the Detroit Free Press. He said the balls all landed within a 15-foot radius of his seat.

And what did the kindhearted Dugan, who caught one of the foul balls during batting practice and four during the actual game, do with the souvenirs after catching them?
He gave them all away to children.

Dugan told the Free Press that he's caught roughly 200-300 baseballs over the years, dating all the way back to the early 1980s.
"My record's eight - four during a game and four during batting practice," he said. "So I tied my record during a game just now."
