Report: Former 49ers cornerback Chris Cook to visit Ravens
Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports
Free-agent cornerback Chris Cook will visit the Baltimore Ravens only a day after his release by the San Francisco 49ers, reports Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.
It's still unclear why the 49ers gave Cook the boot after giving him $650,000 in guaranteed cash back in March. Cook has a history of off-field issues, so that may have played a role.
The Ravens' cornerback depth is in better shape than it has been at times recently, but the team could still stand to add a solid veteran like Cook.
Injuries limited Cook to six appearances in 2014. He made six tackles.
