The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers will head Down Under in 2026 to participate in the NFL's first-ever regular-season game in Australia, the league announced Thursday.

The game will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with the date and time yet to be announced.

Australia and France will both host regular-season games for the first time in 2026 as the NFL continues to expand internationally.

The NFL has played games in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, Brazil, Ireland, and Spain since 2007.
