The NFL will send all 32 teams a video clarifying the league's unsportsmanlike conduct rules after a spate of penalties over the season's first four weeks, senior vice president of officiating Dean Blandino announced, via ESPN's Kevin Seifert.
Blandino also made it clear the NFL won't relax the rules to limit the number of penalties related to taunting and unsportsmanlike behaviors after the whistle, as they are a point of emphasis of the competition committee.
Taunting penalties have increased by 220 percent year over year, according to ESPN. Penalties for excessive celebration and other unsportsmanlike activities are also up by a significant margin.
