Here are the 2023 third base rankings for standard 5x5 leagues.

Why Ramirez is No. 1: The Guardians star has been the standard at third base for several years, and 2023 is no different. Ramirez offers an unrivaled power/speed combination at the position, which separates him from other stars like Machado and Devers. The gap might be closing, but Ramirez is still the easy choice for the top spot at third base.

Dark-horse pick: It's been a disastrous three seasons for Rendon in Anaheim after signing a seven-year, $245-million contract. Rendon has appeared in just 105 games over the past two seasons due to a litany of injuries. It's certainly fair to wonder if the 32-year-old can bounce back, but he appears to be healthy after a serious wrist injury last season. If Rendon can stay on the field, his offensive talent should still be good enough to post solid numbers and outperform his ADP.

Player worth reaching for: Although he's expected to eventually slide into an outfield spot in St. Louis, Walker's pedigree and tantalizing power/speed upside make him a player worth paying up for. Walker hit 19 home runs and stole 22 bases at Double-A in his age-20 campaign last season. He might not start the season with the Cardinals but will likely be with the big club before too long. If you can be patient, Walker could end up being a true difference-maker for your fantasy squad.
