Here are the 2023 first base rankings for standard 5x5 leagues.

Why Guerrero's No. 1: Despite a relatively underwhelming season on the heels of an incredible breakout in 2021, Guerrero is atop the rankings for a second consecutive year. The biggest reason the Blue Jays star got the nod over Freeman is his potential to hit 40-plus home runs while maintaining a high average and on-base percentage.

Dark-horse pick: Vaughn is primed to get the lion's share of the playing time for the White Sox after Abreu departed to the Astros in free agency. The slugger has prodigious power potential and could flirt with 30 home runs for the first time in his young career.

Player worth reaching for: Casas is one of the young prospects Red Sox fans are hoping will take the leap into stardom this season. The 23-year-old posted a solid 120 wRC+ in his first 27 MLB games last season and looks primed to emerge as a presence in manager Alex Cora's lineup. Casas has the potential to hit 20 home runs with a strong on-base percentage and is worth grabbing a round or two earlier than his ADP.
