Here's a look at the daily fantasy picture for Saturday, September 10:
Top Stacking Options
- Seattle Mariners (at Athletics): On the early slate, a Mariners stack can be just as effective as the Cubs, Red Sox or Blue Jays stacks but at a much cheaper in price, allowing for less sacrifice at pitching. Kyle Seager and Robinson Cano each have an OPS above .959 against RHPs this season; they should be front and center in stacks of any sizes.
3-player stack: Cano, Nelson Cruz, Seager
5-player stack: Seth Smith, Cano, Cruz, Seager, Mike Zunino
- Baltimore Orioles (at Tigers): Veteran Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann has posted an abominable 6.87 ERA over his last 10 starts, which includes giving up 17 earned runs in his last three starts. Meanwhile, the Orioles have the third-best team OPS against RHPs -- .797. Load up on big power bats, and offset a five-man stack with inexpensive contact hitter Hyun Soo Kim.
3-player stack: Adam Jones, Manny Machado, Mark Trumbo
5-player stack: Jones, Machado, Chris Davis, Trumbo, Kim
- Kansas City Royals (vs. White Sox): Any time James Shields takes the mound for the White Sox warrants a look at the players he's facing that day. While the Royals have a disastrous .701 OPS against RHPs this season, Shields has made batters far worse than the Royals' look like stars. Eric Hosmer is the only safe bet, but others like Salvador Perez and Kendrys Morales have the pop to take advantage of Shields.
3-player stack: Jarrod Dyson, Hosmer, Morales
5-player stack: Dyson, Paulo Orlando, Hosmer, Morales, Perez

Bargain Plays
- OF Jon Jay, Padres (vs. Rockies): Jay has tallied just two home runs and two steals this season -- he's not going to give you the high ceiling returns needed for cash-game play. What he does offer is the stable floor of hitting in the two-spot, favorable lefty-on-righty splits against SP Jon Gray, and a .364 BA and .417 OBP over his last 10 games.
- 3B Yuli Gurriel, Astros (vs. Cubs): Sure, 52 at-bats in the majors isn't a lot to go off, but Gurriel's .346 average and .883 OPS since getting called up have basically been what we were told to expect from the Cuban star. His reverse-splits (.904 OPS vs. RHPs) gives him a good outlook against veteran John Lackey. Gurriel is remarkably cheap on Saturday.
- OF Andrew Toles, Dodgers (at Marlins): Though batting eighth has capped his appeal, it's also prevented Toles' price tag from rising substantially despite the torrid start to his career. So far, the lefty-swing outfielder has hit .357 with glimpses of a power profile, including three homers, seven doubles and a triple in just 31 games. One big swing against righty Tom Koehler can return value against his price.

Contrarian Options
- 3B Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays (vs. Red Sox): The reigning AL MVP might have a 1.015 OPS against southpaws in 145 plate appearances this season, but Donaldson been struggling at the dish with a BA of just .200 over his last 10 games, including two hitless games in a row. Expect his ownership to be lower than usual, though the AL runs scored leader should snap out of his funk sooner rather than later.
- SP John Gant, Braves (vs. Mets): Gant has split his time between the rotation and bullpen this year; though his 4.70 ERA will scare potential suitors away, he actually has a passable 3.80 ERA with 23 Ks in 23 2/3 innings as a starter this year. Considering the Mets have a .718 OPS vs. righties this season, Gant could bring fantasy production that plays well in two-pitcher tournament formats.
- OF Ryan Braun, Brewers (at Cardinals): Braun and Cardinals SP Adam Wainwright have some shared history: they've faced each other over 80 times. While Wainwright has held the former MVP to a .208 BA and just six extra-base hits in those career at-bats, the tide has clearly turned in Braun's favor as Wainwright's ERA sits at a career-worst 4.61.
