3 coaches that could replace Bo Pelini
With the Bo Pelini era in Nebraska now officially over, it's time to take a look at three potential candidates who could fill in the shoes of the now-former head coach of the Cornhuskers.
Scott Frost

Born in Lincoln, Neb., Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost played quarterback for the Cornhuskers from 1995 to 1997. Upon graduating, he became a grad assistant there in 2002 and eventually found his way to Oregon in 2009.
Frost has been a steady hand in helping the development of Heisman candidate quarterback Marcus Mariota, but two years of offensive coordinator experience could be a potential turnoff if Nebraska is looking for more experience.
That said, it would be a pretty great homecoming for the 39-year-old.
Justin Fuente

Memphis head coach Justin Fuente has spearheaded a massive turnaround for the Tigers this season after taking his team from 3-9 last season to 9-3 and first in American Athletic Conference this year.
It's not like Memphis gave him a whole lot to work with, so you can imagine what he might be able to do given the opportunity to run a team with as many great resources as Nebraska.
Jim McElwain

Contract buyout notwithstanding, Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain could be a good fit for Nebraska should they choose to pursue him.
Colorado State has an impressive 10-2 record thanks in large part to McElwain's offensive adjustments that revamped the Rams from a 4-8 team just two years ago.
McElwain has also been an offensive coordinator for Alabama under Nick Saban and a wide receivers coach for Louisville, so he has experience coaching for bigger teams as well.
