The 52-year-old's new agreement will include an updated bonus structure that includes regular-season and playoff success as well as students' academic performance, according to the News & Observer's Jadyn Watson-Fisher and Korie Dean.
Doeren led the Wolfpack to a 9-4 record last season, which included an appearance in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. NC State finished 18th in the final CFP rankings.
The California native has posted an impressive 81-58 record over 11 seasons at the program's helm. Doeren has guided NC State to at least eight wins in six of its past seven campaigns.
