Ricks plays for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif. He's the Tigers' ninth commit in a 2020 class that ranks second in the SEC, according to 247 Sports.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound corner is ranked as the 16th-best recruit in the 2020 class by ESPN Junior 300 and is the top-rated defensive back in his class.
Ricks chose LSU over Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USC, among the many other schools that were interested in him, according to ESPN.
