Colorado's costumed mascot, Chip the Buffalo, was carted off the field Saturday after the T-shirt cannon he was using malfunctioned and shot him in his midsection.

The Buffaloes improved to 3-0 on the season after defeating New Hampshire 45-14 on Saturday. They return to action Sept. 28 against UCLA.
