Veteran swingman Danny Green is set to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers after reaching agreement on a contract buyout with the Houston Rockets, the player's agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns were also interested in Green's services, Wojnarowski adds.

Houston acquired Green from the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-team trade at the deadline, sending Eric Gordon to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Rockets also re-acquired guard John Wall in the move, whom they bought out in 2022.

Due to his recovery from an ACL tear last season, Green only debuted for the Grizzlies on Feb. 1 and played just three games in 2022-23.

In 62 appearances (28 starts) for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, the three-time NBA champion averaged 5.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, one assist, and one steal while shooting 38% on threes.
