Paul has Grade 2 hamstring strain, will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks
An MRI revealed Friday that Houston Rockets star Chris Paul suffered a Grade 2 left hamstring strain during Thursday's game against the Miami Heat.
He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
The 33-year-old left Thursday's contest after clutching his leg while crossing halfcourt. Head coach Mike D'Antoni feared the worst, saying, "It'll be some time."
Paul had four points and four assists in 12 minutes before his second quarter departure.
Although the future Hall of Famer signed a four-year, $159.7-million contract this past offseason, Paul's durability has been questioned.
The nine-time All-Star played in 58 games last year and missed Game 6 and 7 of the Western Conference finals with a right hamstring strain.
In 26 games played this season, Paul is averaging a career-low 15.6 points, 8.0 assists, 4.0 boards, and 2.1 steals per contest.
