Stolmy Pimentel is headed back to the National League after featuring in only eight games for the Texas Rangers in 2015.
The New York Mets signed the Dominican reliever to a minor-league contract Tuesday, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
Pimentel pitched in 25 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2013-14, building up a 5.23 ERA in 32.2 innings pitched.
He was signed as an amateur free agent by the Boston Red Sox in 2006, and has a career 4.39 ERA in 53.1 innings.
