MLB creates filter to remove Aroldis Chapman results from fastest-pitches list
Aroldis Chapman throws so hard, he's monopolized the market on speed in MLB.
The Cincinnati Reds closer is responsible for so many of the league's fastest pitches that MLB added a filter to its statcast page documenting pitch velocity, allowing users to remove his results.
Chapman delivered the fastest pitch of 2015 thus far to Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier, clocking in at 103.9 mph on June 29.

Enabling the Chapman filter shows that Detroit Tigers right-hander Bruce Rondon has the next-fastest pitch of the season, a 101.7-mph four-seamer to Caleb Joseph of the Baltimore Orioles on July 18.
Without the Chapman filter enabled, the list reveals that not only did Dozier face Chapman's chart topper, but the infielder was a victim of five other pitches from the "Cuban Missile" that measured at least 103 mph in the same game.
