Angels activate newly acquired Victorino, place Joyce on 7-day DL with concussion
The Los Angeles Angels will soon get a good look at the Flyin' Hawaiian.
The team activated outfielder Shane Victorino on Tuesday after placing outfielder Matt Joyce on the seven-day concussion disabled list, reports the Los Angeles Times Bill Shaikin.
Victorino was acquired from the Boston Red Sox on Monday in exchange for infielder Josh Rutledge after playing in just 33 games for Beantown, hitting .245/.324/.298 with one home run and five stolen bases. He'll start in left field on Tuesday.

The injured Joyce collided with shortstop Erick Aybar in Sunday's 13-7 victory over the Texas Rangers.
He was having a down year, hitting .178/.274/.298, and will be eligible for activation on Aug. 3.
Los Angeles also optioned Kyle Kubitza to Triple-A Salt Lake and recalled Efren Navarro.
