The Boston Red Sox have signed veteran pitcher Kyle Kendrick to a minor-league contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Kendrick was also extended an invite to the team's big-league camp in spring training.
The 32-year-old right-hander last pitched in the majors in 2015 with the Colorado Rockies, posting a 6.32 ERA in 27 starts (142 1/3 innings pitched). He surrendered the most home runs in the majors that season with 33, contributing to an NL-worst 100 earned runs.
Boston also announced minor-league deals with eight others, including catcher Jordan Procyshen, infielders Sam Travis and Rafael Devers, outfielders Allen Craig, Brian Bogusevic, and Rusney Castillo, as well as pitchers Chandler Shephard and Ben Taylor.
