Mets don first responder caps for 15th anniversary of 9/11
Just as they did in their first home game after 9/11, the New York Mets are once again paying tribute to the city's emergency workers.
Sunday marks the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, and the Mets are honoring the first responders who saved numerous lives on the tragic day with special caps before their afternoon game against the Atlanta Braves:

In total, 2,977 people died in the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., though 411 were emergency workers attending to victims at the World Trade Center.
The Mets wore first responder caps during their first home game after the attacks, a contest famously remembered for Hall of Famer Mike Piazza's powerful, go-ahead home run in the eighth inning against the same Braves.
15 years later.
