Matt Damon pays visit to Atletico Madrid
Hollywood actor Matt Damon paid a visit to Atletico Madrid while in Spain promoting the latest installment to the "Bourne" movie franchise, meeting with left-back Filipe Luis and the club's president Enrique Cerezo at the Villamagne Hotel and posing with the red-and-white-striped shirt of the capital club.
"It's our summer signing, joining next week, fresh from the U.S." Cerezo joked with reporters, according to AS.
Damon said Atletico "remind me of my favourite team, the Boston Red Sox," thanking the two for the gift before giving a shout of "Go Atleti!"
Cerezo's connection to cinema is likely the reason for the visit, as the club's president also works as a cinematographic producer. He has played host to other famous Hollywood actors, jokingly "signing" Samuel L. Jackson as well in 2003:
