New York Islanders forward Ryan Strome left Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets with an upper-body injury and won't return, the team announced.
Strome was victim of a dangerous hit from behind from Blue Jackets defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk in the second period. The 22-year-old remained in the game for a few more shifts before he left for the night.
Bodnarchuk received a two-minute minor for boarding.
