Arizona Coyotes forward Joe Vitale will be out of the lineup for the foreseeable future.
Vitale was on the wrong end of a vicious fight with Boston Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller on Saturday night, ending up with an upper-body injury and a trip to the hospital.
Coyotes head coach Dave Tippett said Sunday that Vitale is still having tests done and won't join the club on its upcoming five-game road trip.
"He's going to miss some time," Tippett said, according to The Arizona Republic's Sarah McLellan.
Saturday's game was Vitale's first of the season. He had nine points in 70 games last season.
