Jeremy Roenick takes bite in support of 'The Hamburglar'

It seems like every day Andrew Hammond, better known as "The Hamburglar," is in the news.

The Ottawa Senators are the hottest team in the NHL and they're rallying around the goaltender's impressive play to move into contention for the playoffs.

Hammond has already received a life long supply of McDonald's in the process, while fans and teammates are loving Burgermania as well.

Now former player and analyst Jeremy Roenick is jumping on the bandwagon.

During the intermission of Sunday's NBC telecast of a game between the St. Louis Blues and Detroit Red Wings, Roenick took a bite of a hamburger on-air in support of the Senators and Hammond making the playoffs.

"When a guy has that kind of success, it's easy for a team to rally around, and the city has rallied around, The Hamburglar," Roenick said. "Andrew Hammond is the real deal. Less than two goals against in his first 12 games."

Ottawa, who will host the San Jose Sharks on Monday, sit one point behind the Boston Bruins for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
