Henrik Zetterberg caps Red Wings comeback with hat trick vs. Sabres

Henrik Zetterberg and the Detroit Red Wings proved once again that no Buffalo Sabres lead is safe.

Down 3-0 less than 14 minutes into Sunday's tilt against the league's cellar dwellers, the Red Wings managed to draw even by the halfway point of the second period, and eventually went ahead for good courtesy of a trio of third period goals scored by Zetterberg.

Captain Zetterberg, who notched his sixth career hat trick, scored his third goal of the night thanks to some rather porous goaltending from Jhonas Enroth, while the second will probably go down as the nicest of the three.

Sabres forward Tyler Ennis added a fourth goal for his club in the third to interrupt what could have been a natural hat trick for Zetterberg, but the Red Wings went on to prevail by a score of 6-4.

This game was eerily similar to a Dec. 23 match between the two clubs, where the Sabres went ahead 4-1, only to give up five unanswered goals en route to a 6-3 loss.

Zetterberg was named the game's first star, and scored a total of four goals in two games for Detroit over the weekend.
