Report: Predators may have interest in Sabres' Chris Stewart

Kevin Hoffman / USA TODAY Sports

The Nashville Predators are reportedly among the teams interested in adding big-bodied right wing Chris Stewart.

"Another team we're hearing that may have interest in Chris Stewart is the Nashville Predators," reported Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman during Hockey Night in Canada's "Headlines" segment on Saturday.

The potential move would make some sense and could bring stability to the Predators' right-wing situation. Recently, the Predators have used a variety of centermen – including Craig Smith and Colin Wilson – out of position on the right flank.

Stewart, 27, is on an expiring deal and is due to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. He's managed five goals and 12 points with the Buffalo Sabres this season.
