Every Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the AFC West Notebook.

Denver Broncos

Elway doesn't understand Thomas' absence from workouts. Demaryius Thomas didn't show up for voluntary workouts after the Broncos used the franchise tag on him, and general manager John Elway can't understand why.

Roby open to playing safety? Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby could be seeing time at safety next season, only a year after being a first-round pick. Roby says he's open to the move, which would only be in certain defensive packages.

Latimer struggled to grasp offense as a rookie. A Peyton Manning offense isn't easy to learn, which Cody Latimer discovered last season as a rookie. Latimer said he didn't pick up the playbook quickly enough, leading to a lack of playing time.

Kansas City Chiefs

Bowe's nice gesture. Even though Dwayne Bowe is now a member of the Cleveland Browns, he returned to Kansas City last week to pay his respects to Betty Johnson, an 86-year-old fan who passed away. Prior to every Chiefs home game, Bowe would find Johnson in her seat and stop by to give her a kiss.

Charles wants the offensive line to improve. Jamaal Charles took a plethora of big hits last season, and he doesn't want it to continue. Charles is hoping the Chiefs will make upgrades during the draft on the offensive line.

Houston a no-show. It was expected, but Justin Houston was not on hand to start the team's offseason program. Houston is seeking a long-term deal from the Chiefs and was not happy about being franchise-tagged.

Oakland Raiders

Carson City approves stadium project. The Raiders' time in Oakland could be coming to an end. Carson City approved a proposal for a new stadium that could house both the Raiders and Chargers.

Crabtree with a lot to prove. After taking a month into free agency to land a deal, Michael Crabtree feels he has a lot to prove with the Raiders.

Davis donates $50K to help prevent domestic violence. There hasn't been a bigger issue over the past year in the NFL than domestic violence. Raiders owner Mark Davis donated $50,000 this week to a foundation that helps prevent it from happening.

San Diego Chargers

Chargers reportedly haven't talked Rivers trade with Titans. Many have speculated that Philip Rivers' hesitancy to sign a contract extension may lead San Diego to consider trading him to the Titans for the No. 2 pick. However, the two sides have reportedly not discussed a trade.

Tomlinson feels Rivers no longer believes in organization. The Chargers potential move to Los Angeles may not be the only thing upsetting Rivers. LaDainian Tomlinson feels Rivers is losing confidence in the organization because of personnel moves.

Weddle unhappy. Chargers safety Eric Weddle didn't show up for offseason workouts and feels highly disrespected because the team hasn't started negotiations on a contract extension.
