Sunday Updates

  • Brandon Marshall played in the second half last week, but hasn't practiced since. The guy is crazy durable, and reports Sunday morning suggest he will play, but just how effective he will be is up in the air. If he's active, it's impossible to sit him after what he did to the 49ers two weeks ago.
  • I don't feel like Michael Crabtree is getting enough attention this week. The Eagles secondary hasn't done much to stop opponents passing attacks and Crabtree is Colin Kaepernick's number one target. I have him as a top-10 option at WR this week.
  • With Charlie Whitehurst starting, Kendall Wright, Justin Hunter and Nate Washington get bumped down. Wright could still be productive, catching short routes and dump offs. I'd stay away from Hunter, who is still waiting for his breakout game.
  • I have the Jaguars receivers ranked Cecil Shorts (#29), Allen Robinson (#43) and Allen Hurns (#45). Shorts has shown he can get it done in the past, Robinson has been productive the last two weeks and Hurns is a big play waiting to happen. All worth considering this week, with Blake Bortles running the offense.
  • If Jarrett Boykin is held out, Davante Adams becomes an interesting WR3/FLEX play, in a potentially high scoring affair in Chicago.
