Sunday's Power Forward Value Rankings

Here are theScore's power forward value rankings for Sunday's five-game slate.

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Julius Randle (LAL) vs. WAS 8
Myles Turner (IND) vs. HOU 8
Dirk Nowitzki (DAL) at SAC 7

Another triple-double may be asking too much, but Randle is closing his de facto rookie season strongly, with three straight games of at least 13 points and 14 rebounds. With D'Angelo Russell doubtful to play with an ankle injury, perhaps he'll reprise the playmaker role that saw him hand out 10 assists Friday.

Turner is also ending his first NBA season with a flourish thanks to three straight games of at least 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks, including a monster 24-point, 16-rebound effort Thursday. Aside from an 89-87 grind-it-out loss to the Jazz earlier in the week, the fast-paced Rockets have allowed at least 109 points in each of their previous five games.

After receiving Friday off to rest, Nowitzki should be ready to reprise the form that's seen him average 26.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 blocks over his last four games.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) vs. DAL 7
Carl Landry (PHI) at GS 7
Brandon Bass (LAL) vs. WAS 7
Draymond Green (GS) vs. PHI 6
David Lee (DAL) at SAC 6
Donatas Motiejunas (HOU) at IND 6

Back on Jan. 30, Green had a near triple-double (10 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists) in a narrow road defeat of the 76ers. There's no bigger mismatch in the league, with this game seeming like a great opportunity for the Warriors to win handily and get Green some rest ahead of the playoffs.

Landry should fill in again for the injured Nerlens Noel and should have ample opportunity for garbage-time production.

Bass has been extremely consistent off the bench. He's played between 24 and 29 minutes in each of his last 10 games, scoring in double figures in all but one and chipping in with rebounds and blocks. At his low price, he reliably returns around five to six times his value.

Motiejunas starts, but has played no more than 26 minutes in any of his last 10 games. He can be productive, and doesn't cost much, but likely won't have a heavy workload.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Kenneth Faried (DEN) at LAC 4

Faried was apparently available to play Friday, but didn't get off the bench. Perhaps his back injury hasn't fully healed just yet. He's too big of a risk to roster, especially if he sees a lesser workload.
