New York paper slams O'Neill for supporting Trump
The editors at the New York Daily News aren't so thrilled that local hero Paul O'Neill has apparently sided with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Trump praised O'Neill, a four-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion in nine years with the Yankees, after winning primary elections in Mississippi and Michigan on Tuesday night. After O'Neill appeared to reciprocate by showing his support for the polarizing businessman, Daily News editors cobbled together a derisive front page for their Wednesday morning paper.

O'Neill, who received the enthusiastic shoutout from Trump at his press conference in Jupiter, Fla., joins the eclectic list of celebrities who have endorsed Trump, including John Rocker, Mike Tyson, and Gary Busey.
