There were no takers for Detroit Red Wings forward Joakim Andersson.
Andersson cleared waivers but will not be assigned to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday, Red Wings general manager Ken Holland told Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.
The 26-year-old center recorded one shot in Friday's shutout win over the Buffalo Sabres, after being placed on waivers earlier in the day.
He has three points in 26 games.
