New Jersey Devils forward Bobby Farnham might have a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety in his immediate future.

Farnham absolutely leveled St. Louis Blues forward Dmitrij Jaskin - who was nowhere near the puck - with a dangerous hit in the corner on Tuesday.

A melee ensued, with Blues tough guy Ryan Reaves taking down Devils enforcer Jordin Tootoo with a vicious punch to the back of the head.

Farnham was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for interference.
