Here are the goaltender value rankings for Saturday, January 9's eight-game evening slate. Note that the two games beginning at 1 p.m. EST are excluded.
Top Options
| NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
|---|---|---|
| Louis Domingue (ARI) | vs. NAS | 10 |
| Tuukka Rask (BOS) | at OTT | 9 |
| Antti Niemi (DAL) | vs. MIN | 9 |
| Mike Condon (MTL) | vs. PIT | 8 |
The Coyotes have quietly moved up to seventh in scoring with 2.8 goals per game. That's a decent amount of goal support for a team on the rise and Domingue has taken advantage of it. In his first nine appearances, he has put together a 5-2-2 record with a 2.31 GAA and .930 save percentage. His price has yet to catch up to his production and he gets a great home matchup against the slumping Predators.

Best of the Rest
| NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
|---|---|---|
| Jonathan Quick (LA) | vs. STL | 7 |
| Jonathan Bernier (TOR) | at SJ | 7 |
| Marc-Andre Fleury (PIT) | at MTL | 6 |
| Joonas Korpisalo (CLB) | vs. CAR | 6 |
| Craig Anderson (OTT) | vs. BOS | 5 |
| Jacob Markstrom (VAN) | vs. TB | 5 |
| Ben Bishop (TB) | at VAN | 5 |
| Pekka Rinne (NAS) | at ARI | 4 |
| Martin Jones (SJ) | vs. TOR | 4 |
Quick is surging but he's a bit overpriced considering the league-average offense playing in front of him. Still, Quick has propped up that offense all season, putting together a 23-9-1 record with a stellar 2.09 GAA. And despite the Blues featuring Vladimir Tarasenko (4th in points), their offense has slumped to just 2.42 goals per game (22nd in the NHL).

Nothing to See Here
| NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
|---|---|---|
| Brian Elliott (STL) | at LA | 3 |
| Devan Dubnyk (MIN) | at DAL | 2 |
| Cam Ward (CAR) | at CLB | 1 |
For his price, Dubnyk isn't worth the risk of getting lit up by the Stars' league-leading offense. Ward's stats suffer from terrible goal support and bad defense. Carolina somehow faces the fewest shots per game (26), which also lowers Ward's ceiling; he's never going to give you a 40-save shutout.
