Colorado Avalanche forward Jarome Iginla reached a major milestone Monday, scoring the 600th goal of his NHL career against the Los Angeles Kings.

The 38-year-old banked in the historic goal off the skate of Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin during a third-period power play. His teammates quickly filed out onto the ice to congratulate him, while the fans gave him a standing ovation.

Iginla is only the 19th player in NHL league history to score 600 goals, with the marker counting as his 11th of 2015-16 and 40th since joining the Avalanche last season. Tyson Barrie picked up his fourth point of the night with the primary assist, while Blake Comeau picked up his second helper of the contest on the play.

After setting the Calgary Flames' records in goals (525) and points (1095) over 16 seasons, the veteran had short stints with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins.
