Sunday's Small Forward Value Rankings

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Here are the small forward value rankings for Sunday, December 13:

Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Gordon Hayward (UTA) at OKC 9
Mirza Teletovic (PHX) vs. MIN 8

Hayward has been on fire of late, averaging 21.4 points, 4.6 assists, six boards and two steals over his past five games. With many owners building their lineups around Kevin Durant, Hayward works as both an undervalued mid-tier player and a bit of a contrarian play.

Meanwhile, Teletovic has been excellent in Phoenix and has seen his playing time rise with each solid shooting night. With the green light to launch 3s and improved rebounding stats with Tyson Chandler out of the lineup, Teletovic is a great play in all formats.

Best of the Rest

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Kevin Durant (OKC) vs. UTA 7
Robert Covington (PHI) at TOR 6
Luol Deng (MIA) vs. MEM 5
Matt Barnes (MEM) at MIA 5
Jeff Green (MEM) at MIA 5

As is the case with Russell Westbrook, Durant might not have enough production to justify his position-leading salary, especially against a Jazz defense that hasn't completely stalled without Rudy Gobert. In a weak SF player pool, he'll still have value in both tournaments and 50/50 contests, if only to keep pace with the 75% of owners who will have him in their lineups.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
T.J. Warren (PHX) vs. MIN 4
Jerami Grant (PHI) at TOR 4
DeMarre Carroll (TOR) vs. PHI 2

Warren was a must-have play last week when he was getting close to 30 minutes a night but with a recently diminished role (blame Teletovic's hot hand), he has a better chance of being a no-show than bringing even a modest return. Carroll is another player to avoid, as it just isn't clear if he'll be in the lineup Sunday.
