DFS: Dynamic Duos - Monday's Top Teammate Plays

Ed Mulholland / USA TODAY Sports

Here are the top line-stacking options for Monday, November 30's four-game NHL slate.

C Frans Nielsen and W Josh Bailey, Islanders (vs. Avalanche)

Colorado G Semyon Varlamov has struggled since returning from injury, allowing seven goals in three games, and was pulled after just over a period in one. With the Russian getting the start again Monday, Islanders skaters appear to be viable targets in the event his woes continue.

A cheaper alternative to the team's top trio of John Tavares, Kyle Okposo and Brock Nelson, the duo of Nielsen and Bailey feature on the second line. Nielsen has 18 points on the season, including eight in his last seven games, and averages a healthy 2.8 shots per game. Bailey has six points in his last seven, including two goals. Both players receive power play duties, though Nielsen has the more favorable spot on the first unit.

C Leon Draisaitl and W Taylor Hall, Oilers (at Leafs)

Edmonton's top-line duo hasn't fared particularly well on its ongoing road swing, with Draisaitl and Hall each having only tallied one point in their last four games. Hall has fired 17 shots in that span, however, with the playmaking Draisaitl having registered nine.

Monday brings an encounter with NHL debutante Garret Sparks, who will be between the pipes as a result of James Reimer's injury and Jonathan Bernier's struggles. While Sparks has been written about in theScore's coverage as a viable contrarian selection, that doesn't mean he won't concede a goal or two, with Hall and Draisaitl good bets to be involved.

W Mats Zuccarello and C Derick Brassard, Rangers (vs. Hurricanes)

Zuccarello has cooled off, having gone pointless in his last four games, but before that, had three three-point games in five contests, highlighting his explosive potential. The Norway native still leads the Rangers in goals (10) and points (21), and has a good shot at regaining his form at home to a Hurricanes team that sports the second-worst save percentage.

Brassard himself has been held to a mere assist in his last four, but given his top line role and first power play unit duties, gets the nod here ahead of the pricier Rick Nash as Zuccarello's teammate of choice.

C Henrik Sedin and W Jannik Hansen, Canucks (at Ducks)

The Sedin twins are typically impossible to separate, but we're recommending pairing the playmaking Henrik with the duo's linemate, Hansen. Henrik Sedin is on a five-game point streak, highlighted by a five point explosion against Calgary, while Hansen has four points in as many games, and has fired 10 shots in that span.

Hansen doesn't have the upside of Daniel Sedin, who has 12 points in his last seven games, but comes in at a much friendlier price tag. The Canucks have struggled on the road in November, having won only two of their last nine, but its top line has nonetheless been able to get on the scoresheet with regularity.
