DFS: Week 10 Tight End Value Rankings
Here are theScore's tight end value rankings for Week 10 (Thursday night game excluded):
Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE
Top 3
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Gary Barnidge (CLE) | at PIT | Low |
2 | Jordan Reed (WAS) | vs. NO | Low |
3 | Rob Gronkowski (NE) | at NYG | Low |
Barnidge takes top spot, assuming Josh McCown returns to action; the out-of-nowhere tight end star has a cake matchup against a Steelers defense that has allowed 16 receiving TDs and 273 passing yards per game. Reed is the healthiest and most reliable option in the Washington passing game entering a plus matchup with the Saints. Gronk is Gronk - pricey, but productive.

# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
4 | Tyler Eifert (CIN) | vs. HOU | Low |
5 | Greg Olsen (CAR) | at TEN | Low |
6 | Crockett Gillmore (BAL) | vs. JAC | Low |
Eifert is as big a red-zone threat as any player in the game - and the Bengals should have plenty of opportunities to score against the visiting Texans. Olsen is the position's Mr. Reliable, with a solid floor and the kind of upside that makes him rosterable in all formats. Gillmore has had an extra week to rest and remains one of Joe Flacco's few reliable options in the pass game.
Best of the Rest
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
7 | Delanie Walker (TEN) | vs. CAR | Medium |
8 | Benjamin Watson (NO) | at WAS | Medium |
9 | Jason Witten (DAL) | at TB | Medium |
10 | Jimmy Graham (SEA) | vs. ARI | Medium |
11 | Martellus Bennett (CHI) | at STL | Medium |
12 | Julius Thomas (JAC) | at BAL | Medium |
Value at the position takes a major drop after Walker, with each of the next five players facing major question marks. Witten hasn't scored since Week 1, while Graham will be in tough against an Arizona team that defend tight ends as well as any team in the NFL. Thomas may be looking at an expanded role if WR Allen Hurns (foot) misses any time.
Nothing to See Here
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
13 | Kyle Rudolph (MIN) | at OAK | High |
14 | Richard Rodgers (GB) | vs. DET | High |
15 | Eric Ebron (DET) | at GB | High |
16 | Zach Ertz (PHI) | vs. MIA | High |
17 | Heath Miller (PIT) | vs. CLE | High |
18 | Jordan Cameron (MIA) | at PHI | High |
Sunday marks Rudolph's best chance at fantasy relevance, as he takes on an Oakland defense allowing the most weekly fantasy points to the tight end position. He's still a GPP-only play. Rodgers has settled into a decent role in the Packers' offense, but his ceiling is limited. Cameron has become a complete non-factor in the Miami offense.
