VIDEO: Hosmer daringly scores tying run on Duda's errant throw

The Kansas City Royals keep finding incredible ways to stay in ballgames.

Down to their final two outs of Sunday's potential title clincher, the Royals spoiled Matt Harvey's dominant performance with a heads-up base-running play by Eric Hosmer in the ninth inning of Game 5.

After Harvey surrendered a leadoff walk and double to end his night, Hosmer scored from third base on a fielder's choice groundout by Salvador Perez, beating Lucas Duda's throw when the New York Mets first baseman fired the ball well to the right of catcher Travis d'Arnaud.

Hosmer's bold move to the plate tied the game 2-2, and sent the game to extra innings, where the Royals secured their second World Series title in franchise history. Hosmer's heroics came on the heels of driving in the Royals' first run with the double that knocked Harvey out of the game.

The Royals' improbable rally extended their postseason record of seven comeback wins when trailing by multiple runs.
