Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon is not happy about the St. Louis Cardinals throwing at All-Star first baseman Anthony Rizzo twice in Friday's 8-3 win.

"We don't start stuff, but we will finish stuff," Maddon exclaimed postgame. "We're not gonna put up with that. ... from them or anybody else. We're not gonna take that."

Rizzo has now been hit a major league-leading 29 times this season, which is 11 more than the next player - Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brandon Guyer.

"I'm not sure who put out the hit (on Rizzo)," Maddon added. "Maybe Tony Soprano was in their dugout."

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny and reliever Matt Belisle were ejected from the contest after the righty plunked Rizzo, his second hit-by-pitch of the game, in the seventh inning. Warnings were issued earlier after Cubs starter Dan Haren plunked Matt Holliday in the head, although he says it wasn't intentional.

"(The Cardinals) were yelling at me pretty good from the dugout," Haren said. "I mean, I don't know what they wanted me to say, that I'm sorry?"

It should be interesting to see if the bad blood spills over to the remaining two games of the series.
