VIDEO: Satoransky, Vesely fly high but Czechs lose to Serbia at EuroBasket

Wednesday was a good day for former and future Washington Wizards from the Czech Republic at EuroBasket 2015.

While the Czechs came up on the wrong end of an 89-75 decision against Serbia in the quarterfinals, Jan Vesely and Tomas Satoransky filled the highlight reel for the losing side.

Vesely, the Wizards' No. 6 overall pick in 2011, didn't take long to flame out of the NBA but was always good for a flashy dunk. The 6-foot-11 power forward averaged 17.7 points and 9.1 rebounds through seven tournament games, shooting 63.2 percent from the floor and, in one case Wednesday, he embarrassed a relatively disinterested Serbian defense.

Satoransky, meanwhile, is expected to join the Wizards for the 2016-17 season, four years after being selected 32nd overall. He's been right there with Vesely among the team's best players, with the 25-year-old point guard averaging 14.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a tournament-high 8.1 assists. One of those assists Wednesday fed Vesely for an alley-oop.

But Satoransky can throw down himself, too.

With the loss, Czech Republic will head to the loser's side of the quarterfinal bracket where it'll try to earn a berth in the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Serbia awaits the winner of Lithuania-Italy on Wednesday in the semifinals, and should be considered a favorite as one of only two unbeaten teams (France is the other) remaining in the tournament.
