Owamagbe Odighizuwa continued his excellent combine, posting the best vertical jump out of all defensive lineman. Odighizuwa also ran a 4.62 40-yard time, the second-fastest run at his position, and may end up as a first-round selection. The UCLA defensive end also had the best broad jump out of any defensive lineman.
Frank Clark may sneak in as a late-round selection, after a strong performance Sunday. Clark's 38.5-inch jump was the second-best at his position and CBS Sports ranked him as their 25th-best defensive end in this year's class. The former Michigan defensive end may prove he's worth the risk due to his athleticism.
Other Notable Performers
- Leonard Williams (DE), USC - 29.5"
- Danny Shelton (DT), Washington - 30.5"
Williams struggled in this event, jumping a mere 29.5 inches. After running a 4.97 40-yard dash, no one will question his athleticism and slated to be a first-round pick.
Shelton struggled through Sunday's events, posting the worst 40-yard dash time in his position group. At 339 pounds, many scouting staffs are giving the defensive tackle a pass and he's expected to be selected in the first round.
