Report: Former SMU recruit Mudiay agrees to $1.2 million deal in China

Emmanuel Mudiay, a 19-year-old high schooler, reportedly came to terms with Guangdong of the Chinese Basketball Association on a $1.2 million deal.

According to Yahoo Sports, it's the richest overseas contract ever awarded to a high school player.

Mudiay was dealing with eligibility issues for his freshman season at Southern Methodist University after choosing to play under Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown over Kentucky and Kansas.

The 6-foot-5 guard will play through the end of the Chinese season in March, and return to the United States to prepare for the 2015 June draft, a source told Yahoo.
