Report: Blount has 'offer on the table' from Patriots
Free-agent running back LeGarrette Blount has "an offer on the table" from his most recent team, the New England Patriots, Mike Giardi of CSN NE reports.
It was reported Wednesday that Blount and the Patriots are mutually interested in a reunion, but that a difference in money was holding up talks.
Blount scored a league-high 18 rushing touchdowns with the Patriots last season, yet has not received any reported interest from another team. The powerful running back sat through a month of free agency last offseason before eventually signing a cheap one-year, $1-million deal to return to New England.
The 30-year-old has spent parts of the last four seasons with the Patriots, reaching career highs in yards and touchdowns in 2016.
The Patriots already have six running backs on the roster, and recently hosted Adrian Peterson on a free-agent visit, though he left without a deal.
